Degree in Medicine and Surgery. Specialty in General and Digestive Surgery. Clinical Geneticist accredited by the Spanish Association of Human Genetics (AEGH, in Spanish), and specialty in Hereditary Cancer accredited by the Spanish Association of Medical Oncology (SEOM, in Spanish). Vicepresident of the Spanish Association of Human Genetics. His tasks are centered on the identification and follow up of individuals and families with genetic diseases, with a special interest in rare diseases. He has participated in the elaboration of clinical practice guides, both national and international, for the management of syndromes of hereditary cancer predisposition. He is also member of the Advisory Committee of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER, in Spanish). He is the author and co-author of more than 130 articles in indexed magazines. His main lines of research are centered in the study of neurofibromatosis and the emotional impact of genetic counsel in hereditary diseases. He is assistant professor in the Surgery Department of the Autonomous University of Barcelona and associate professor at the School of Health Sciences in the Mataro TecnoCampus.
