Microbiology Service of Germans Trias Hospital

Doctor in Biology. Postdoctorate researcher of the Research Group in clinical molecular virology and new diagnosis tools in infectious pathology (chief researcher: Elisa Martró, Microbiology Service). Her main line of research is focused on the study of hepatitis C virus at molecular level, related to the response to anti-virus treatment and the progression of hepatic fibrosis. She also researches into molecular epidemiology and improvement in the diagnosis of infection for the hepatitis C virus and other pathogens, through molecular biology techniques.

She is member of the clinical microbiology and experimental infections pathology Group (chief researcher: Vicenç Ausina, head of the Micrology Service Servei de Microbiologia), a well-known research group financed by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Regional Government). She is also member of Group 27 of CIBER in Epidemiology and Public Health (CIBERESP) of Instituto de Salud Carlos III.
