Medical Emergency System (SEM) doctor. Research aptitude certificate from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) with his work on "Mortality-associated variables in critical patients under continuous extrarenal blood purification" (Variables associades a la mortalitat en pacients crítics sotmesos a tècniques contínues de depuració extrarenal). Specific training in Advanced Life Support, Advanced Life Support in Trauma, continuous extrarenal blood purification techniques and mechanical ventilation. His main areas of interest are continuous extrarenal blood purification techniques, organ transplantation and drafting the hospital's protocol to encourage non-heart beating organ donation.

Postgraduate lecturer of the UAB Doctorate Programme, of the Badafiltre course, and the continuous extrarenal blood purification techniques course organized by the Intensive Care Medicine Service of the Germans Trias Hospital.
