Medical specialist at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital (2005). Research contract of the Institut Carles III (2007-2009) with external stays in the Neurosciences Research Laboratory of the Hospital Clínic de Santiago de Compostela and at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia. PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2013). Adjunct to the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital since 2009. He served as director of the Director Plan for Brain Vascular Diseases of the Department of Health of Catalonia from 2020 to 2022.
She is the coordinator of the stroke unit at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, a unit accredited by the Spanish Neurology Society and the European Stroke Organization. Among its main lines of interest is the treatment of stroke in acute and subacute phase, and especially the pre-hospital organization in the treatment of stroke. She has led the development of pre-hospital protocols and tools for care for patients with stroke, with the creation of the RACE scale, a pre-hospital clinical scale to identify patients with suspected occlusion of large brain glass candidates for endovascular treatment, and the RACECAT study that aims to study the optimal transfer circuits for patients with severe stroke and suspected large glass occlusion.
She has published original articles in the field of cerebral vascular pathology, has participated in international conferences and conferences and has received public funding as principal investigator in various national and international projects. She is a member of the cerebrovascular disease research network funded by the Carlos III Health Institute (RICORS-ICTUS). She has received the ICS award for the Young Investigator in 2019 and the Spanish Society of Neurology award in 2023.
