o Moderate or severe kyphosis in children and adolescents;
o Moderate or severe scoliosis in children and adolescents;
• Inflammatory rheumatisms
• Joint replacements
o Prosthetic shoulder surgery (hemiarthroplasty, inverted prosthesis, total arthroplasty)
o Rehabilitation of arthroplasty procedures of the hip and knee
o Rehabilitation of arthroplasty procedures of other joints (ankle, elbow, basal thumb arthrosis, etc.)
o Rehabilitation of highly complex hip and knee prosthetic procedures (total replacements and complex/septic replacements)
• Spine pathologies
o Surgical pathology of the spine
-
Spinal stenosis interventions
-
Vertebral instabilities
-
Multiple spine interventions (failed back surgery syndrome)
-
Neurological complications and pain post-surgery
• Tendon pathologies
o Tendon problems in the acute and subacute phase
o Calcified tendon problems
o Surgery to repair traumatic tendon injuries in the upper limbs
o Surgery to repair traumatic tendon injuries in the lower limbs
o Meniscus repair surgery
o Subacromial impingement surgery (complicated cases discussed with COT)
• Traumatic pathology
o Severe multiple trauma affecting the locomotive apparatus
o Surgical or complex joint fractures
o Surgery to repair peripheral nerve injuries
o Vertebroplasty
• Pain pathologies
o Complex regional pain syndrome in upper and lower limbs
o Myofascial pain syndrome in upper and lower limbs
o Patients referred from the Pain Clinic (musculoskeletal pathology assessments or post-myofascial infiltration)
o Tendinous-muscular pathologies referred from hospital services or home care personnel
o Spinal pain. RAE
o Non-surgical spinal pathologies. RAE
Cardio-Respiratory Rehabilitation Unit:
Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit
• Heart failure:
o Patients diagnosed with heart failure with NYHA functional class I

o NYHA functional class IV is not recommended.
• Myocardial Infarction
o Patients with myocardial infarction and ischemic pathology in the hospital’s geographic catchment area
-
Low, intermediate and high risk coronary cardiac rehabilitation
-
High-risk patients are given exercise with ECG monitoring
-
Moderate risk patients are monitored for the first 6-8 sessions
• Heart Surgery

• Bronchiectasis
o Diagnosed bronchiectasis
• Thoracic surgery
o Pre-surgical programme for candidates for lung resection surgery with moderate to high risk stratification complications post-surgery
o Pre-surgical programme for candidates for lung transplants
• Restrictive respiratory diseases
• Cystic fibrosis and children’s rehabilitation
• Prosthetic, Orthotic and Amputee Unit:
• Prescription of orthotic and prosthetic articles
o Braces, wheelchairs and footwear for neurological pathologies, locomotive apparatus disorders and other aetiologies in patients with very severe disabilities.
