Medical specialist at the Germans Trias Hospital. PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Associate professor at the UAB. For four years she was a beneficiary of a training grant in cerebral vascular pathology in the Trias brothers; she carried out a training program in neurosonology and obtained the training in this technique by the Spanish Society of Neurosonology. He actively collaborated in the implementation and implementation of the hospital's stroke unit, as well as in the promotion for clinical research in cerebral vascular pathology.

Since 2004 he has been a member of the service within the framework of the stroke unit that he coordinated since 2008, being Head of Section in the period 2015-2017. Since 2017 she has been Head of the Neurology Service and since 2023 she has been the Clinical Director of the Department of Neurosciences. It combines the management and organization of the department and service with the assistance, teaching and research activity in the area of cerebral vascular diseases. She has published more than 100 original articles in the field of cerebral vascular pathology, has participated in international conferences and conferences and has received public funding as a principal investigator in several competitive projects.

She is a member of the cerebrovascular disease research network funded by the Carlos III Health Institute (RICORS). He has also led the development and implementation of a system of management and quality control of the activity carried out in the Stroke Unit, which allowed, for the first time in Spain, a clinical unit to be accredited by the Spanish Society of Neurology, with the highest score in the standards of quality care, teaching and research.
