Medical specialist in Neurology from the University of Barcelona. PhD Cum laude from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) Diagnostic training in VEEG and prolonged monitoring by the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN). Assistance coordinator of the Epilepsy Unit of Germans Trias, the Video-electroencephalogram (VEEG) and the Prolonged Monitoring Unit, all within the framework of the functional epilepsy surgery program of the center. Coordinator of the Expert Unit in Minority Epilepsy accredited by CATSALUT and of the network of expert centres in minority epilepsy in Catalonia. Neurology consultant at CSUR for phacomatosis. He is responsible for specialized training as a resident tutor in the Neurology Service. He is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the UAB and a member of the Spanish Society of Neurology, where he is part of the Epilepsy Study Group. He is also the author of more than fifty papers at national and international congresses, several chapters of reference books in epilepsy and more than fifteen articles in prestigious national and international scientific journals.
He has been a reviewer of the scientific communications of the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN) and has participated as a researcher in more than a dozen studies. His main lines of interest are: prolonged VEEG monitoring cost-effectiveness studies, pharmacological treatment and pre-surgical study in epilepsies of difficult control; stimulation of the vague nerve in refractory epilepsy; multidisciplinary approach in minority epilepsy.
