Doctor in Medicine from Universidade do Minho, in Portugal. Member of the Lithiasis Unit and specialist in prostate cancer surgery. Member of the Functional Unit of Neurourology of the hospital and Institut Guttmann. He has written a wide range of national and international publications, plus papers at congresses, where he has achieved several awards.
